Trimol Group Enters Into Cooperation Agreement With Hitachi Maxell
To Develop Aluminum-Air Fuel Cell Power Source
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, Jul. 9 -/E-Wire/-- Trimol Group, Inc. (OTC-BB: TMOL) (the "Company") announced today that it has entered a Cooperation Agreement with Hitachi Maxell Ltd. ("Hitachi Maxell") one of the world's leading battery manufacturers, to work in cooperation on an aluminum-air fuel cell power source for portable consumer electronics.
Trimol Group holds the world-wide rights to an aluminum-air fuel cell technology for use in portable consumer electronic products and devices which was developed by Aluminum-Power, Inc., a Toronto, Ontario, Canada based fuel cell technology development company.
Hitachi Maxell is one of the world's largest and most respected battery manufacturers. Its major business lines include well-known computer, audio and video media products as well as an extensive and popular battery line. With international headquarters in Tokyo, this global conglomerate has eight affiliated production sites in the United States in addition to production sites in Mexico, Malaysia and China and eleven affiliated sales companies in the United States as well as in England, Germany, France, Sweden, The Netherlands, Italy, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Singapore
The agreement between the Company and Hitachi Maxell anticipates the cooperative efforts of the two entities in the development an aluminum-air fuel cell power source for possible license by the Company to Hitachi Maxell. The agreement provides that each company will designate a senior engineer to cooperate on technical issues surrounding the project. The agreement also anticipates further cooperation on a design and development phase based on the results of the initial cooperative efforts.
As consumers demand smaller, quicker and more advanced and enhanced portable electronic products such as Internet ready cell phones and high-speed laptop computers, the power source to fuel such devices will need the high-capacity output that the Company believes its aluminum-air-fuel cell will be able to provide.
Rafael Ferry, Vice President of Marketing for the Company made the announcement noting, "We are delighted to have the opportunity to work in conjunction with Hitachi Maxell and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship. We believe that this cooperative arrangement is a positive step toward the commercialization of the Company's technology."
