Millennium Plastics Reports On Positive Biodegradability Testing Results

NEVADA, LAS VEGAS, Jul. 18 -/E-Wire/-- Millennium Plastics Corp. (OTCBB: MPCO), Tuesday announced the successful interim results of independent testing procedures by OWS of Ghent, Belgium (www.ows.be).

Solplax(TM) base formulations have been undergoing biodegradability testing in the laboratories of Organic Waste Systems (OWS) during the last six months and the results have shown that MPCO's Solplax(TM) formulations have an equal to or greater degree of biodegradability than cellulose, the substance commonly used as a control in biodegradability and composting tests.

The tests were carried out in accordance with standard procedures laid down in ISO 14851.

The OWS report stated, "It can now clearly be concluded that Solplax(TM) high solubility, HS, and medium solubility, MS, plastics are fully biodegradable under the given circumstances.'

Other successful independent tests have been carried out by PIRA (Packaging Industry Research Association) www.pira.com and RAPRA (Rubber and Plastic Research Association), www.rapra.com both well-known industry benchmarks based in the United Kingdom.

Bayan Giltsoff, MPCO director and inventor of Solplax(TM) plastics, declared, "We are extremely delighted with the results of these biodegradability tests.

"They give us great confidence in the skill of our development team and provide the market place independent evidence of the continuing quality of our Solplax(TM) products. We are looking forward to performing similar testing programs in the United States with OWS in Dayton, Ohio as well other independent testing labs.'

Additional testing of Solplax(TM) plastics are being conducted in-house in conjunction with the Institute of Technology in Tralee, Ireland, www.ittralee.ie through an Irish government grant-aided research program.

Solubility, biodegradability and composting tests will be overseen by the Institute's Materials Science chemists and carried out by a graduate seconded to the Solplax(TM) plastic project for two years.

MPCO, Solplax Ltd. and the Institute are working jointly on the testing and certification of Solplax(TM) products in marine environments with the advice of the Marine Laboratory in Aberdeen, Scotland; www.marlab.ac.uk a U.K. government institution with responsibility for oil industry chemicals testing in the North Sea.

Solplax(TM) products have the unique and very environmentally beneficial characteristic of being water-soluble and biodigestible in the soil such that the only by-products are non-toxic water, atmospheric gases and the resultant biomass.
