CECO: New Division Receives $4 Million Pollution Control Order
CECO Abatement Division Solidifies Company's Position as America's Complete Clean-Air Solution
ILLINOIS, CHICAGO, Nov. 8 -/E-Wire/-- CECO Environmental (Nasdaq: CECE) today announced that the company's newest subsidiary, CECO Abatement, has received an order worth more than $4 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Chicago-based CECO Abatement will supply pollution control equipment to several alternative fuel manufacturing facilities located in North America. Work will begin immediately and is scheduled for completion by mid-2002.
CECO Chairman and CEO, Phillip DeZwirek, says "this contract affirms CECO's growth strategy by broadening the company's footprint into an expanding segment of the North American energy market, and enhancing operating efficiencies by integrating CECO's full service design, build and installation capabilities through the coordinated efforts of multiple business units.'
CECO Abatement produces thermal oxidation control systems that eliminate fumes from large-scale industrial processes. Working closely with the Kirk & Blum division, CECO Abatement adds another dimension to pollution control for the automotive, printing, metal converting, wood products and bio-solids industries.
Already the largest independent air pollution company in the United States, the new abatement division further strengthens CECO Environmental's position as a source for "complete solutions' for its customers' industrial filtration and ventilation needs. "The expansion into the abatement sector completes the circle for us,' says DeZwirek. "No other company in America can come close to CECO Environmental's ability to offer industries a fully integrated, cost effective turnkey solution to air quality issues.'
