DynaMotive Announces Completion of Design for 100 ton per day Plant

Construction Scheduled To Commence Early Q1 2002

CANADA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, VANCOUVER, Nov. 20 -/E-Wire/-- DynaMotive Energy Systems Corporation (OTCBB: DYMTF) announced today that the formal project design for a 100 tpd pyrolysis plant was completed by DynaMotive and Tecna SA's engineering teams. Construction is planned to commence early in 2002. This unit will be part of the integrated 2.5MW pyrolysis energy project in the UK.

The new BioOil plant, capable of producing up to 2.7 tons of oil per hour, is expected to be commissioned in the 4th Quarter of 2002. Under Tecna's engineering procurement and construction supervision, the plant will incorporate all the design and operational improvements developed by DynaMotive on the Company's two existing pilot plants. The Company's 2 tpd and 10 tpd plants have been producing BioOil for more than 4000 hours and have proven the design and reliability of the technology.

Speaking on behalf of Tecna, Ricardo Altube, President and CEO, said: "Over the past few months, we have worked closely with DynaMotive's technology team, particularly Warren Johnson, Chief Technology Officer. This close cooperation has been critical to achieving this exciting milestone. We are certain that the technology is robust and that we can now confidently start construction of this third generation pyrolysis plant."

"This plant will build on the successful experience DynaMotive has gained from constructing and operating the 10 tpd plant throughout 2001," said Andrew Kingston, President and CEO of DynaMotive. "The 10 tpd plant has exceeded our expectations in terms of its performance, capacity, reliability and product qualities and yield. This has enabled DynaMotive to accelerate its development program and bring forward a robust design for the 100 tpd plant well ahead of schedule. In 2002, the Company expects to complete its first integrated plant in Europe and to have plants under construction in Canada and other key markets."
