Southern States Power Co. Launches New Web Site
CALIFORNIA, ONTARIO, Dec. 12 -/E-Wire/-- Southern States Power Co. Inc. (OTCBB:SSPC) today announced that the company has officially launched its new Web site, www.sspowerco.net.
The site is now hosted by the company and is designed to facilitate more direct communication between Southern States Power Co. and the investment community.
William O. Sheaffer, President of Southern States Power Co., commented: "It is our intention that the new site will not only keep investors informed, but that current and potential biodiesel consumers can now access our Web site for information and to inquire about the company's biodiesel and power generation services. We invite all investors to visit www.sspowerco.net and provide feedback on the new format and its content.'
Control of the site will allow the company to modify content in a more efficient manner, and plans are underway to add new features and graphics in the coming months.
Southern States Power Co. is a fully reporting publicly traded company, whose core business is to develop, produce and distribute alternative fuels, particularly its OxEG Biodiesel. There are nearly 27 billion gallons of diesel consumed annually in the United States alone, and an additional volume is consumed internationally. It is a goal of the United States Department of Energy that 30% of petroleum-based motor fuel is replaced by alternative fuels by the year 2010.
Southern States Power Co. has two synergistic divisions: one for the production and sale of biodiesel and the other devoted to the generation of power using alternative fuels. Tightening clean air standards and growing fossil fuel costs are forcing municipal and private commercial fleets to look toward alternative fuel products. Major biodiesel initiatives have been passed at the federal and state levels across the United States.
