American Access Technologies Acquires Rights to UV Light Home Air Cleansing System

LAKE MARY, FLORIDA, Jan. 14 -/E-Wire/-- Telecommunications equipment manufacturer American Access Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:AATK - news) said today that it is expanding the Company's product portfolio to include an ultraviolet light Air Cleansing System for the home acquired for $50,000 cash, $500,000 in restricted stock, and cancellation of a $123,000 account receivable by the Company.

The Eclipse system uses ultraviolet light technology installed in a home's air-conditioning system to disinfect germs and bacteria and neutralize mold and dust mites that contaminate the indoor air a family breathes.

"We are all concerned about our families' well-being, and we all seek the optimum healthy home environment. This air cleansing system harnesses for your home the benefits of ultraviolet light, which has been used for years to sterilize germs and kill bacteria in hospitals and restaurants,' said American Access President John Presley.

"We have manufactured about 35,000 units for Bill Sherer Corporation over the past three years. Taking over this product line should result in increased profits and revenue for American Access,' Mr. Presley added. The current price for the product to installers is $119 per unit.

Mr. Sherer will continue to market the products for American Access under a separate one-year, renewable agreement.

"We believe that within a decade, most if not all AC systems will have germicidal ultraviolet built in. American Access Technologies brings to the table the resources necessary for success in this developing market,' Mr. Sherer said.

American Access manufactures patented zone cabling units that mount in ceilings, raised floors, and in custom furniture, routing traditional cabling, fiber optics and wireless solutions to the office desktop. The Company's concept of "zone cabling' reduces costs for installation and moves, adds, and changes by as much as 70% while providing plug and play, up-gradable networks, fiber optics and wireless LAN.
