First American Scientific Corp. Announces Arrival of KDS

Equipment in Montreal in Preparation for Exfor Pulp & Paper Exposition

CANADA, Jan. 23 -/E-Wire/-- Bill Barber, President of Alternative Green Energy Systems Inc (AGES), a subsidiary of First American Scientific Corp, is pleased to announce that the re-designed KDS Biomass/Sludge machine has been received from FASC and assembled at AGES's new Montreal facility in Boucherville, Quebec, where it is being prepared for demonstrations to delegates from the Pulp & Paper Technical Association's International Conference "Exfor" being held in Montreal January 28 - 30, 2002.

At the conference, Andy Burns, B. Sc, Director of Engineering for AGES will be presenting his scientific paper " Integrated KDS Biomass Combustion Systems" outlining his findings and the technical merits of this innovative new process. During the conference, demonstrations are scheduled in Boucherville for a select group of senior pulp & paper executives and industry specialists. According to Blake McGibbin, P.Eng. in charge of the new facility "this process is revolutionary, we expect to attract a high level of interest among industry leaders in the pulp & paper industry, at forestry companies and at major utilities."

In Vancouver, FASC, has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary FIRST AMERICAN POWER CORP, which will conduct its operations from its Cloverdale facility, the construction of which, after numerous untimely delays, is now nearing completion. Please see our web-site www.fasc.net for more details and photographs.

According to Brian Nichols, President and CEO of FASC " we are extremely pleased with the work on this project performed by Thermix who bring a wealth of knowledge and engineering expertise to this project, by enhancing our technology and putting it work. The process of converting wood waste to BTUs will set new standards in the pulp & paper industry by reducing waste and pollution while, at the same time, reducing the cost of energy."
