AT&T; Receives Omni Intermedia Award from Media Corp Inc.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, Jan. 31 -/E-Wire/-- Media Corp Inc. recently announced that AT&T; received a 2001 Omni Intermedia Bronze Award for its ErgoWise Web-based ergonomics training course. The award recognizes AT&T; for its accomplishment in outstanding media production. In AT&T;'s new Web-based ergonomics course, launched in July 2001, cartoon characters guide employees through standing and stretching exercises, office redesigns and other activities aimed at improving the comfort and safety of the work environment. The new, fully animated course, upgrades existing CD- ROM and video-based classes that walk employees through ergonomically preferable practices via text, still photos and video clips.

"We recognize that effective ergonomics training has a positive effect on employees and their productivity," says Lynn Alpaugh, a senior specialist in AT&T;'s Environment , Health & Safety organization, who has been in charge of upgrading the training program.

The ErgoWise program was developed by the AT&T; Environment, Health & Safety organization in partnership with AT&T; Health Affairs and AT&T; Labs. It is available in VHS, CD-ROM and Web-based formats.

The Omni Awards were created to recognize excellence in outstanding media production in the fields of television, video, radio, film, Internet and multimedia and carries with it the distinction of being chosen by one's peers as an example of excellence. The Awards were evaluated by a panel of production company professionals.
