FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Geologic Services Corporation (GSC) CEO to Appear on Fox Cable News Channel's "Summerall's Success Stories"
Kevin Pottmeyer will discuss GSCÃ's success, future growth strategy, and
the role of eIMS, its Web-based eCompliance spin-off
HOLBROOK, NEW YORK, Feb. 15 -/E-Wire/-- Geologic Services Corporation (GSC), an employee-owned environmental services firm, announced today that its CEO, Kevin Pottmeyer, will appear on "SummerallÃ's Success Stories" on the Fox Cable News Channel, February 19, 2002, sometime between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. EST. The two-minute interview segment, hosted by highly respected television broadcaster Mr. Pat Summerall, will highlight GSCÃ's extraordinary success.
According to Mr. Pottmeyer, "The last 2 years have been an exceptional growth and transformation period for GSC, ending on a high note as an ENR Top 200 environmental company." Since 1998, GSC has more than tripled its revenues and has quadrupled the size of its workforce to nearly 250 employees in 7 offices. In 2000, GSC became one of the few US companies to be 100% employee-owned by buying out its founders and creating an ESOP trust. With its unique ownership culture, dedicated employees, and exceptional customer relationships, GSC is well positioned to continue its rapid growth in the rapidly changing environmental services industry.
As the environmental industry matures, projects present increasingly complex challenges, requiring greater expertise, innovation, and technology. As a result, corporationsÃ' success will be more closely tied with their ability to manage and effectively use their data. As pressure mounts on corporations to be more efficient in managing their environmental compliance management processes, leaders are increasingly relying on information technology to gain competitive advantages. Recognizing this trend, GSC formed Enterprise Information Management Services, Inc. (eIMS), an internet-based eCompliance Management solutions company, spinning off the company in March 2001. "The working relationship between eIMS and GSC, as well as the strong client base it can draw on, effectively positions eIMS to rapidly take the lead in the emerging eCompliance market," said John Niemoller, eIMS CEO.
eIMSÃ' flagship product, WebEHS, is the first wireless EHS field data collection and management application aimed at managing eCompliance between industry and state regulatory agencies. The application is built entirely using Web technology, enabling corporations to leverage the collaborative power of the Internet to manage projects and entire programs internally across their enterprise, and externally with consultants and contractors. WebEHS enables users to collaborate to track regulatory compliance requirements in real-time and manage project tasks and resources on an exception basis. Corporations can collect EHS data such as groundwater, air quality, MSDS and incident reporting in the field using wireless devices.
